Finally, the prices for the AMD Ryzen 7000 Non X series CPUs using the Zen 4 core architecture with a total of three basic SKUs have been revealed. This includes the Ryzen 9 7900, Ryzen 7 7700, and Ryzen 5 7600.
Ryzen 7000 Non X Ready to Come to CES 2023
AMD has so far only introduced the "X" series SKUs in the Raphael "Zen 4" family aimed at high-end users and gamers. Several months later, AMD is now reportedly preparing the AMD Ryzen 7000 Non X series CPU.
Although AMD hasn't officially confirmed the release of the Non-X chip yet. Of course many of you know that there are many CPUs that will be coming soon to the consumer class. One of them is 3D V-Cache which will be introduced at CES 2023.
Ryzen 7000 Non X Series Specifications
So please note, there is a slight difference between the Non X SKU and the X series version, the non X series will have a TDP of 65W with a lower clock. Following are the Ryzen 7000 non X series specifications:
Ryzen 9 7900 – 12 Cores / 429USD
This AMD Ryzen 9 7900 CPU has a configuration of 12 cores, 24 threads, with 76 MB cache (64 MB L3 + 12 MB L3) and has a maximum boost clock of up to 5.4 GHz. This CPU will reportedly sell for $ 429 USD, which means it has a $ 120 USD difference with the Ryzen 9 7900X.
If we do a comparison, there is indeed a reduction in boost clock around 200 MHz, but considering the price is very competitive, of course this 12-core CPU looks very powerful.
AMD Ryzen 7 7700
Next is the Ryzen 7 7700 which has 8 cores, 16 threads 40 MB cache (32 MB L3 + 8 MB L3). It has a boost clock of up to 5.3 GHz. This CPU will reportedly retail for $329 USD which is $70 USD cheaper with the Ryzen 7 7700X retailing for $399 USD.
The Ryzen 7 7700 seems to have a 100 MHz lower clock than the Ryzen 7 7700X, and has a power drop of around 90-100W for the PPT.
AMD Ryzen 5 7600
Finally, we have the AMD Ryzen 5 7600 with 6 cores 12 threads, with 38 MB cache (32 MB L3 + 6 MB L2) and has a maximum boost clock of up to 5.1 GHz. The CPU will have an MSRP of around $229 USD or $70 USD less than the Ryzen 5 7600X which sells for $299 USD.
Overall, these three CPUs will offer the best performance on the AM5 platform and we should also see a cheaper A620 motherboard in mid-2023.
